A huge parking lot, a tunnel – and traffic jams:
Beginning this morning the main roads at the city entrance will be closed to all private vehicular traffic . The reason: construction begins on the new entrance to the city that is anticipated to be completed in 2022. The construction is concurrent with other building projects in Jerusalem and is expected to cause major traffic congestion.
